Brightstar care is currently hiring Caregivers to support a Veteran client with medical needs in his home. Duties will include light housekeeping, support with ADL's, safety supervision, and social/emotional wellness support. The Schedule is expected to expand as client/family needs change but will begin with about 16-20 hrs. per week.

We ensure our Caregiver's have the skills they need to be successful in caring for our clients through competency demonstration in our on-site simulation lab. We also offer client-specific skill enhancement opportunities in the home when indicated. Necessary personal protective equipment is provided so that you can feel confident and safe when you care for your clients.

Requirements:

· 1 year of homecare and dementia care experience required

· Reliable transportation

● Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification. (in house classes are offered at a reduced rate)

● Recent wellness exam and negative TB skin test (provided if needed)

● Ability to pass a comprehensive fingerprint/background check and drug screening.

● Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.

● Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
