Position Description
Performs diagnostic quality echocardiographic studies of various types on both inpatient and outpatients populations. Duties include but are not limited to obtaining high-quality echocardiographic studies; assisting in the performance of transthoracic and transesophageal studies, with and without contrast; stress echo and preparing preliminary reports. Participates in activities and functions necessary for optimal performance of the Lab while contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Position Requirements
Vocational or technical training or degree from Cardiovascular Technology Program. Consistently performs quality echocardiographic studies considering the age-specific physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the patients. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to critically think and prioritze. Ability to react appropriately in emergencies. Certification(s) required: RCS or ACS through CCI, or RDCS through ARDMS. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree: Cardiovascular Technology Program. 2 years or more of experience in Echocardiography. Preferred certification(s): Additional Vascular Registry. ACLS.
