Meals on Wheels Coordinator - West Boylston Senior Center (15 hours/week, 9:00 - 12:00)

Elder Services of Worcester Area, Inc. Nutrition Program has a position open for a Meals on Wheels Coordinator 15 hours/week, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. The primary function of the job is to provide oversight to the Meal packaging and delivery process for the Town of West Boylston. The Meals on Wheels Coordinator role is multi-purpose as it involves the scheduling of the Volunteers (both kitchen staff and MOW driver staff), assist with the packaging of the hot meals and cold packs for delivery. Print daily route sheets and remove any late stops called in that day. The MOW Coordinator may be required to deliver if a Volunteer calls out for the day. West Boylston currently has two Meals on Wheels routes comprising of approximately 22 consumers each.

Qualifications: Ability to recruit and supervise volunteers required. Must be ServSafe certified upon hire and annually. Basic computer skills required. (i.e. Receiving/sending email). Enjoy working with the Senior population. Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive required. Must be at least age 21 and have had a Driver’s license for minimum of three years.

Essential Abilities: Must have moderate physical ability. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Ability to keep accurate records and statistics, document clearly, and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to maneuver in various residential settings, including significant walking and stair climbing, while carrying bag(s) containing meals. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and nutrition staff regarding any issues or concerns with consumers.

· Hiring bonus: $210.00

· Hourly rate: $15.50

· No holidays or on-call
