Open Position
Position: Marching Band Assistant Director - Part-Time (Posting number 2425-2976)

Location: Secondary Schools

Date: July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

• Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season is essential.
• Candidates must possess strong organizational, leadership, intrapersonal and communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and teaching facets of a competitive marching field band program, to potentially include: winds, percussion, auxiliary
• Help recruit and cultivate strong student participation
• Promote the Marching Band, both in the district and in the greater community under the guidance of the Marching Band Director
• Monitor and uphold the district's eligibility policy as it applies to participation in the Marching Band
• With guidance by the Marching Band Director, work closely with parent volunteers and the booster organization
• Help facilitate collaborative relationships with district music teachers
• Assume other duties as assigned by the Marching Band Director
• Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season essential.

Salary: As per current WTA Contract based on education and experience
