Position Title: Porter (Part-Time; Saturday & Sunday Only; 11AM - 7:30 PM)

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to ensure that all areas (especially floors) in the facility are kept clean and tidy per direction of the Environmental Director. Must follow established safety and policies. A team player who is willing to go the extra mile!

Responsibilities:

• Ability to lift, carry, operate equipment and supplies as necessary.
• Experience in floor care/use of floor equipment is helpful.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Qualifications:

• Experience in environmental services preferred, but not required.
• One (1) to Three (3) years of porter/maintenance experience (healthcare experience preferred)
• High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Organizational, follow-through and communications skills.
• Must be dependable, proactive, and prompt.
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused on the big picture.

Education:

• High school diploma required. Healthcare experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

• Must possess a general appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process, as well as be aware of its challenges. The maintenance and promotion of a good working relationship between staff, families and residents is essential.
• Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service and hospitality towards and among all residents, employees, visitors, and the community.

• Carpet cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
