JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN)

AVAILABLE SHIFTS: 2PM-10PM Shift

JOB LOCATION: Rockwall, TX

We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervises Nurses, Nurse Aides and Medication Aides; Coaches and disciplines as needed.

· Receives report on patient/resident status and evaluates and ensures resources are in place to meet needs.

· Makes physical rounds in assigned area of oversight assessing quality of care, intervening with provision of care and interacting with care givers and patients/residents.

· Provides direct care in line with the responsibilities of a nurse, assessing conditions, communicating with attending physicians/practitioners and carrying out nursing functions according to the needs of the patients.

· Accurately documents patient/resident condition including assessments, communication and care provided.

· Ensures safe work practices are followed.

· Provides empathetic communication to families, patient/residents regarding change of condition in response to care concerns, ensures resident rights are respected.

· Assists with the Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Must be a licensed nurse (RN) with active, applicable state licensure.
• Prior experience in healthcare/LTC preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• A valid TB test and BLS/CPR card.

COVID-19 considerations: We COVID test new hires on first day of employment and all unvaccinated staff twice a week. Please provide a copy of your vaccination card (if you have been vaccinated). You are required to wear a mask while in the facility and to wear appropriate PPE.
