JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the position requires the assisting of residents in activities of daily living and some housekeeping tasks.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists residents in bathing, dressing, laundry, and other activities of daily living as indicated in the resident’s Individualized Service Plan. Assist with housekeeping tasks.

Monitors a central call light panel and provides the necessary assistance and / or first aid.

Ensures that residents are informed of all community activities and assists individual residents in participating in any activity that they may desire.

Make rounds of the facility at regularly scheduled intervals to check the facility and the safety of the residents.

Documentation in Eldermark Software.

Works with Resident Services Director, Case Managers, and the Assisted Living Administrator in reviewing resident’s needs such as reporting changes in condition and / or participates in establishing interventions for residents.

Assists residents in maintaining independence: obtaining transportation and medical services; and completing weekly menus.

Performs other duties as assigned by Resident Services Director or LPN Supervisor on duty. Other duties may include but are not limited to requiring the Resident Aide who holds a current NYS Home Health Aide certificate to perform tasks within that scope of care tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPEREINCE:

Possesses a high school diploma or GED

Home Health Aide Certificate preferred

PAY: $18.15 to $20.15 an hour depending on experience. This includes a $1.50 shift differential. Overtime pay rates up to $30.23 for picking up extra shifts.

SCHEDULE: 10:45 pm until 7:15 am
