SummarySilicon Valley International School is seeking a professional and dynamic individual to fill the part-time position of Education Support Staff in our Upper School. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm and be able to provide exceptional service to our students.Education Support Staff should enjoy working with middle school and high school students. They must demonstrate a commitment to INTL’s mission and the population we serve and be experienced with organizing and logistics in the school setting and supervising students. They must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues, and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures.This position will be under the supervision of the Student Life Coordinator, and the hourly compensation for the role is $29.00.Typical work activities include:

Supervision of middle school lunch, recess, and afternoon break
Supervision of middle school after-school study hall
One-to-one or small group supervision of middle school students as needed
Receipt, organization, and cleanup of student lunches for middle school
Providing a range of in-classroom support, including subbing and assisting as needed in the upper school classrooms
Building relationships with upper school students, maintaining professional boundaries, and building positive rapport
Assistance in school offices and school staff in carrying out the day-to-day needs of the school

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience working with school-aged children
Ability to work in a team setting
Working with children and youth involves extensive physical activity, mental alertness, and enthusiasm; having good general health and emotional stability are essential.
Ability to move quickly to address emergency or potentially dangerous situations
Fluency in English for collaboration with colleagues and communication with students
Bilingual [preferably in either French, Chinese, or German]
Experience and knowledge of International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) preferred

Benefits and CompensationBenefits are designated based on a 75% full-time equivalent, [FTE].

The compensation for this position is $29.00 per hour.
