We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Community Educator/Trainer to join our reputable Home Health and Hospice Agency. As a Community Educator/Trainer, you will play a vital role in promoting awareness and understanding of our agency's services within the community. Your primary responsibility will be to educate and administer training to staff and referral partners for required post-acute organizations, with the aim of fostering positive relationships and driving referrals. This role requires a strong commitment to compassionate care, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to deliver effective presentations. This role is a PRN position that would require between 5-10 hours a week that covers a radius of 50 miles from our Greentree office location. Mileage reimbursement will be offered.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community education programs to increase awareness of home health and hospice services offered by our agency.
• Conduct informative presentations and workshops for healthcare professionals, community organizations, senior centers, support groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key individuals, organizations, and referral sources in the community.
• Respond to inquiries and schedule trainings with organizations
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and community events that align with our agency's mission and objectives.
• Collect and analyze data related to community education efforts to measure the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations and policies that affect home health and hospice care, ensuring compliance in all educational activities.
• Conduct trainings in Basic Life Support, First Aid, and CPR/AED
• Provide education on Medication Administration as a Certified DHS trainer
• Provide education on Diabetes as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
• Conduct administrator training for certification renewal
• Provide continuing education training for nurses (CEUs)
• Candidates will cover a radius of 50 miles from our corporate office location in Greentree, PA

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare education, community outreach, or a related role.
• Certified First AID, CPR, and AED Instructor
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
• Certified DHS Trainer
• Certified Administrator Trainer
• In-depth knowledge of home health and hospice care regulations, services, and best practices.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional connections within the community.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective educational materials and presentations.
• Proficiency in using technology and multimedia tools for educational purposes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel locally to attend meetings, events, and conferences as required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
