Enoch Pratt Free Library is Hiring a Library Page, Stacks and Shelving Near Baltimore, MD

Enoch Pratt Free Library is looking for a part-time Library Page for the Central Library/State Library Resource Center (SLRC). The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for accuracy and above average attention to detail.
This position reports directly to the Library Resource Supervisor/Department Manager

Department: Stacks & Shelving (SLRC)

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $15.00

Summary of Duties:

The summary of duties listed below is not exhaustive. Additional duties are dependent upon the needs of the hiring department.

Sort Central materials onto book trucks.
Shelve materials, straightens bookshelves and general housekeeping of assigned locations throughout the library.
Ensure shelves have bookends and all titles are front facing and upright.
Provide support to MILO Transshipping Department packing, unpacking and sorting delivery containers of library materials.
Shift and lift totes of library material for distribution to Pratt library branches and Maryland network libraries.
Pull and push carts of library materials throughout the library.
Contribute to statistical records.
Provide assistance for special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of the 12th grade High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push book trucks weighing up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stoop and reach on a regular basis.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to read small print.
Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work up to nineteen (19) hours per week.
Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.
