At Helena Public schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a High School Science Teacher, you contribute to this mission by guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. This position is a part time at Capital High School. The workday would be part time (hours to be determined), for 187 days per calendar year.
Salary is prorated starting at $20,807.50. Final salary based on education and applicable teaching experience. The District also provides a comprehensive pro-rated benefit package that includes a retirement plan, sick and personal leave, medical insurance, life insurance, and professional development.
Some of what you will do:

Plan a program of study of approved curriculum that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
Evaluate academic and social growth; keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.

Who we are looking for:
To become part of this dedicated team, you have a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Montana Teaching License with appropriate endorsement at the time of employment.
The successful candidate will:

Promote the whole-child by supporting a student’s social, emotional and academic well-being in all facets of school life
Support the strengths and needs of students through teaming with school staff
Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
