Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)

Salary: $25,000 (50% part-time)

The Anderson Center's House Operations division comprises the House Operations Director, House Operations Assistant, several House Managers, and the Artscorp volunteers. This team is responsible for the safety and comfort of all patrons at over 200 events per year consisting of guest speakers, orientation sessions, musical ensembles, theatrical productions, dance recitals and competitions, and student performances.

Under the direction and supervision of the Anderson Center's House Operations Director, the House Operations Assistant sets the tone and ambiance for all front-of-house operations, oversees patron comfort and safety, and supervises house personnel. Other key responsibilities include:

• Act as House Manager, maintaining house policies and overseeing patron services during events.
• Coordinate with event contacts, stage managers, technical directors, and performing artists to manage performance needs for each event.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating house management staff and Artscorp volunteers.
• Provide immediate supervision of house managers and volunteers in collaboration with the House Operations Director.
• Assist in handling security, parking, accessibility, and emergency needs both during events and in advance by coordinating and arranging services with other university departments.
• Maintain house management reports and house counts for every event.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Ability to work a variable schedule that will fluctuate based on operating needs. Work schedule will include days, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb and descend stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Experience working in the Performing Arts.
