Aldo Groupe - Aldo Shoes is Hiring a Stock Person Near Columbia, MD
Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stocker to join our team. As a Stocker, you will be responsible for ensuring that merchandise is properly stocked and organized in our retail store. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties: - Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks - Sort and organize merchandise on shelves and in designated areas - Ensure accurate inventory control by conducting regular stock checks - Use RF scanner to track inventory levels and locate specific items - Assist customers with locating products and provide exceptional customer service - Operate cash register for sales transactions when needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor - Load and unload merchandise using pallet jacks or other equipment as necessary Qualifications: - Previous experience in retail sales or stocking preferred - Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately - Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory management - Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner - Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, repeatedly throughout the shift - Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions are not available.
