Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Maintaining the appearance of the vehicle:

 It is the company’s intention the Tangram Van gives our guests a first-class, professional impression and transportation experience. The Tangram Van Driver is responsible for the internal and external appearance of the Tangram Van at all times. Such duties include:

Driver will responsible:

* Inspect exterior prior to every trip to assure clean exterior appearance.

* Driver will be expected to wash and dry van.

* Driver will responsible inspect interior prior to every trip to assure clean interior appearance.

* Driver will be expected to clean interior as necessary.

Maintenance of the Tangram Van

* Unless it is necessary due to the length of the trip, the Driver will not fuel the van when transporting passengers. The Driver will be expected to fuel van before and/after all trips.

* Driver will fuel van using company-provided credit card. If necessary, Driver can expense fuel charges if no company-provided credit card is used – fuel receipt will be expected.

* Driver will not garage van at the end of the day with less than ¾ tank of gas.

* Driver will monitor all dashboard gauges at all times and report any warning signals to Tangram within 24 hours.

* Driver will monitor odometer and report to Tangram each time a 5,000 mile interval is reached for vehicle oil change service.

* Driver will monitor and report any mechanical or wear issues to Tangram within 24 hours.

* Driver will complete Usage Log and submit to Tangram as requested. 

Customer Experience

* Driver will inspect and stock van with food and beverage supplies as requested before every trip.

* Driver will wear casual or formal uniform as requested by company.

* Driver will maintain professional appearance as requested by company.

* Driver will greet all guests before entering the van and open/close vehicle doors for the guests.

* Driver will offer to relieve any large luggage/bags from the guests when greeting them and load and unload them into/from the Van.

* Driver will take trip direction from the Tangram Host during the trip. The driver should defer any direction from a guest to the Tangram Host.

* Driver will wear his name tag at all times when transporting people on a trip.

* Driver will not eat in the presence of the Host or guests.

Operating the Van

* Driver will receive destination information prior to each trip and be responsible for planning safest, most efficient route.

* Driver will operate Van in a way that provides a smooth and non-distracting trip for the passengers. The Driver will operate the van safely and abide by all rules of the road.

* Driver will legally park the Van at all times. While waiting for guests at an event, the driver will park in a safe area until the trip resumes. If for any reason the driver must abandon the Van alone, the Driver will be responsible the engine is off, keys removed from the ignition and all Van doors are locked and secure.

* Driver will not use the Van for any personal trips or errands without expressed permission from the company.

Availability

* The Driver agrees to be “on call” 24 hours a day. The driver will be given as much advanced notice as possible when driving services are needed. The Driver will receive trip and guest information from the Van Reservation Coordinator. The Driver is expected to notify Tangram and the Reservation Coordinator when he is not available to drive in the future due to illness, vacation, or personal business with as much advanced notice as possible so back-up drivers can be secured.
