We are looking for a dishwasher with high energy and organizational skills. This is an entry level position with opportunity to learn and grown within the kitchen.
Requirements:
PAY: $16-18 / hour Tips
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 1 year dishwashing or other kitchen experience desired
- Has skill and ability to keep equipment, wares and food storage organized
- Can maintain high energy thought a shift
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Basic reading and math skills needed
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING:
- Wash dishes and keep dish area and equipment areas clean and organized
- Apply proper food and chemical handling outlined by your food certification training
- General cleaning and mopping of dining kitchen and bathroom areas regularly to maintain sanitation standards
- Help put away orders and organize food and paper product areas
- When cleaning and washing dishes, make sure the proper chemical is being used for the task at hand, and check for proper chemical dilution regularly
- Assist kitchen with daily and weekly deep cleaning items
- Throw out garbage throughout the shift
- Help pack and load food for events
- Help kitchen cooks and chefs with light prep duties when needed
ALL EMPLOYEES NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING:
-19 years or older
- Food handling card or certification through the approved organization, and ability to apply that knowledge by way of proper food handling
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
- Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts and locations on time, and to get home after your shift
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Ability to easily adapt to new settings and new team members
- Can professionally follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
- Outgoing high energy personality
- Ability to communicate accurate information and needs peers and managers
- Is problem and solution-orientated
- *Servers and bartenders need TIPS liquor certification
- *Salaried FOH & BOH Managers - valid drivers license and clean driving record needed
