The Department of Chemistry's main office is looking for student workers to assist with their front desk duties. The office assistant will be responsible for handling confidential information, such as transcripts, testing materials, email addresses, and phone numbers. The ideal candidate should be able to work around their academic schedule, but we prefer students who can work longer shifts, specifically in the mornings or afternoons.
Duties:Duties will include but are not limited to

•answering phones,
•diagnosing and supplying students and faculty with common departmental knowledge,
•sorting mail,
•assisting students face-to-face, 
•assisting with department events,
•running errands around campus, and
•assisting office staff with daily duties and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
General office experience or receptionist experience is preferred.
Students need to be in good academic standing.
Hours:
A reasonable weekly schedule will be determined, not to exceed 20 hours per week
