Job Summary

The Videographer I position will assist in video production via camera operations, lighting, scripting, and post-production editing. They will also be responsible for assisting with production planning for stakeholder projects.
Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of learning, people, student success, forward-thinking, commitment to excellence, accessibility, diversity, partnerships, and sound management practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides digital design services and post-production work for the LSSC Production Studio, including video editing, color grading, and motion graphics.
• Assists with production planning, reviewing storyboards and shot lists to identify potential editing problems ahead of time and suggesting supplementary ideas.
• Translate project requirements into highly engaging content. Post-production editing of video, audio, and motion graphics projects utilizes various supplied software and programs to the project's specification by the video requestor.
• Applies expertise in video file formats, file conversions, editing techniques, animation techniques, audio recording, and audio sweetening to produce exceptional content for all assigned projects.
• Assists with the operation of production studio gear (including but not limited to lighting, sound, video, and set design) as needed.
• Interacts with and services various departments at all levels of the college.
• Maintains the video database.
• Maintains the organization and storage of studio equipment.
• Monitors daily support requests from stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum of two years in a media creation, film production, or marketing setting with an emphasis in shooting and editing videos.
• Basic knowledge of camera operations, lighting, and video editing.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Familiarity with Blackmagic products and Adobe Creative Cloud programs.

Minimum Qualifications & Education

• Associate degree in film production, videography, cinematography, digital marketing or related field.
• An appropriate combination of education and experience.
