Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, preparing food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized cafe environment. Duties: - Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner - Take customer orders and prepare food and beverages according to established recipes - Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment - Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed - Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met - Assist with food preparation, such as slicing ingredients or assembling sandwiches - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly Qualifications: - Previous experience in the food industry or customer service is preferred - Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus - Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations - Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is beneficial - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and coworkers We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for growth within our organization.
