Company Description:

Glacier Health and Development Center offers outpatient counseling, coaching, and program development support to a diverse population, as well as psychological research for the improvement of mental health services nationally and abroad. Driven by a passion for improvement and social justice, Glacier is currently developing a workforce of skilled professionals to expand the access to mental health services within the state of Virginia.

We want to serve clients who haven't otherwise been able to find the right fit for therapy, who don't fit the mold of other practices, who may have barriers to getting to an office for therapy, and who might be looking to avoid the stigma associated with receiving therapy.

Job Summary:

The service provider will conduct therapy sessions either in person or through a HIPAA-compliant service platform. Full-time employees will receive hourly compensation for a standard 40-hour workweek. Full-time positions entail carrying between 25 and 32 direct client hours per week, along with an additional 8 to 15 hours dedicated to administrative duties such as supervision, care coordination, and other related tasks. Part time staff will carry a minimum of 12 direct service hours per wek, with monthly behavioral health integration services for each case.

GHDC is committed to supporting both full-time and part-time workers in establishing manageable caseloads. Employees will be encouraged to prioritize maintaining a healthy work-life balance while delivering effective and efficient services. At times, exceptions to the productivity minimmums and maximums and maximums may be created to allow space for interested staff to provide groups, trainings, or other services not specified within their primary roles and resposnibilities.

This intensive position encompasses all responsibilities inherent to outpatient psychotherapy, involving clients with various mental health conditions. While GHDC does not offer crisis services, employees are expected to engage in crisis prevention planning, self-directed case management, and other independent practices. Supervision is available throughout the service delivery process; however, individuals are encouraged to apply only if they possess the necessary skills and developmental capacity to work autonomously across a range of low and high-intensity cases.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review ad process intake forms for new and continuing clients
  • Complete comprehensive evaluation for new and continuing clients
  • Provide psychotherapy for a minimum of 25 contact hours per weelk
  • Complete progress notes within 48 hours of all service
  • Provide monthly behavioral health integration services for all cases
  • Provide quarterly treatment plan reviews for all cases
  • Ability to provide counseling in office and remotely
  • Provides group psychotherapy where appropriate

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Resident in Counseling/Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Must have experience working with diverse populations
  • Must have high-speed internet access for work from home
  • Must have HIPAA protected space to use for virtual sessions
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and seeing clients via telehealth
  • Must be able to pass applicable background screenings
