Psychotherapy Services of Alabama is hiring a therapist with a specialty in one or more of the following areas for our TRUSSVILLE location: child/adolescent therapy, couples therapy LGBTQ-affirming care, trauma recovery, and perinatal mental health. PSA is a small but growing practice. We have one psychologist and two interns on our team. Billing and marketing are handled for you. All you need to do is show up, see/communicate with your clients, and complete your documentation. You set your own schedule, and we will work with you to find what gives you the best work-life balance.

Duties:

- Conduct therapy sessions with couples, children, and/or adults with a focus on LGBTQ-affirming care, trauma recovery, and/or perinatal mental health. - Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and/or solution-focused therapy. - Provide counseling and support for clients experiencing perinatal stress, sexuality issues, identity questions, trauma, and other generalist concerns as needed (e.g., depression, anxiety, life transitions). - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. - Stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of psychotherapy. - Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Requirements: - Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field - Valid license to independently practice psychotherapy in the state of Alabama (LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Associate therapists will be considered on a limited basis. - Experience working with diverse populations and is LGBTQ affirming. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
