Sound - Our People Make Difference is Hiring a Remote Financial Analyst - Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sound Physicians is looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst in our Tacoma office. This is a challenging role with the potential to make a large impact on the organization.
The financial analyst will support the Finance team in reporting to our senior leadership team, partnering with business leaders to analyze monthly financial results and developing analyses to evaluate initiatives. This position will also support the administration of WorkDay Adaptive Planning, our reporting and budgeting tool. The position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis and will often interact with members of the Finance team, Accounting, as well as senior leaders across the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Monthly reporting and analysis, including building reports as well as summarizing financial results
  • Researching and preparing responses to questions from senior leadership
  • Supporting executive reporting, department reporting and budget processes
  • Analyzing monthly financial results and working with business leaders to identify trends and quantify financial impacts
  • Developing analyses and financial models in collaboration with business leaders to evaluate initiatives and decisions
  • Digging into data and identifying relevant information and financial impacts
  • Supporting Adaptive Planning reports, data integrity, and administration
  • Documenting processes and maintaining records

EXPERIENCE / SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and organized
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting including but not limited to financial statements, expenses vs. capitalization, accrual accounting, modelling, return on investment, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Positive attitude, team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexible approach
  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Preferred Qualifications 
  • Evidence of stretch assignments that reflect superior performance in previous roles
  • Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast-growing company
  • Proven organizational skills with strong follow through and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
  • Adaptive Planning experience

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education

  • Minimum: BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Economics required

Experience

  • 1 - 3 years related experience in FP&A, investment banking, accounting, or consulting; new graduates with internship experience and strong academic performance will be considered
