Hotel Task Force Manager

As a Hotel Task Force Manager, you will be a key member of Newport Hospitality Group. You will work closely with the Vice Presidents of Operations and Chief Financial Officer to help support hotels throughout our company during management absence, hotel transitions, or to assist properties with specific operational goals. You will report to the VP and Director Of Operations. In addition, you will influence the total operation of the hotel during particular time frames.
Travel for this position is significant, traveling up to 4 weeks occasionally.
As a Hotel Task Force Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of ethical leadership for the property to achieve its business goals. Requirements for the Position:
  • Responsible for assisting with the overall performance of the properties’ operations, including but not limited to Guest Satisfaction, Brand Quality Assurance, Budget, and labor.
  • Executes the training of all team members as it relates to brand and company standards to maximize revenues and service culture.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance and up to date on new initiatives for the brand and Newport.
  • Be aware of and in compliance with all local and state laws.
  • Implement and train on all Newport procedures related to cost control and inventory management.
  • Maintain positive relationships with your Newport team, property owners, and clients.
  • Inspect to ensure that all safety and security standards are maintained.
  • Support guest experience and satisfaction in all operations.
  • Works closely with Newport teams in Human Resources, Accounting, Revenue Management, and Leadership to ensure that the property and Newport goals are achieved.
Requirements:
  • 3 years minimum experience as a hotel General Manager
  • Experience with major hotel brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, Starwood, Choice, etc. is required
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time
  • The skills and experience to consistently lead a team to deliver exceptional guest and team member service.
  • Knowledge of federal, local and state compliance laws
  • A proven track record of meeting budgets, understanding profit and loss statements, and cost controls
