Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated full-time Inside Sales Representative to join our Land-Based Aquaculture Sales Team. Reporting to the Vice President for Land Based Aquaculture, the role will focus on sales growth and customer success, working with customers to address their needs and managing sales orders through the internal fulfillment process.
Specific duties include:
- Develop customer relationships by responding to customer calls, internet inquiries and other leads
- Verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates
- Owns, qualifies, and develops opportunities passed from marketing, and outside sales
- Increases orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checks customer's buying history
- Execute follow-up call schedules to increase sales and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assign leads to appropriate salesperson in CRM
- Document all sales opportunity transactions in Salesforce
- Enter sales order into the business ERP system, SYSPRO
- Support order fulfillment through the entire process, engaging with engineering, procurement, production, and logistics personnel
- Assist engineering and sales teams with equipment quotations and bids
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of sales-related experience
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite in particular high proficiency in Excel
- Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, and solve a range of problems that may be difficult but are not typically complex with both internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Education
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, communications or related field.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in a science related business, commercial preferred, wastewater management or related field
- Experience with customer relationship management tools, SharePoint, and ERP systems
- Working knowledge of water quality or water filtration
- Experience with State & Federal bids
