Overview

JOB TITLE: Capture Director

LOCATION: Remote, with onsite support as required for in-person meetings, working sessions, etc.

POSITION TIMING: ASAP; hiring immediately

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary & Commission Structure

Responsibilities

  • Lead all capture and pre-proposal activities for every bid (teaming, key personnel, solutioning, price to win).
  • Develop capture strategy and shaping approaches/plans and work with executive leadership, operational teams, and business development groups to implement.
  • Provide customer and competition guidance, mentoring, and direction to growth and development teams across the organization.
  • Establish strong internal and external relationships focused on accomplishing strategic business objectives, driving profitable organic growth, and achieving increased shareholder value.
  • Identify, document, and manage the internal and external capture project efforts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate all aspects of proposal response for recompete opportunities.
  • Manage/support proposal development processes, including planning, organizing, strategy development, scheduling, ensuring compliance, writing, coordinating overall activities, preparing and communicating status reports, critiquing and making improvement recommendations, coordinating and assisting in proposal production, and leading all related tasks necessary to compete for and win contract awards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years' Federal Government Capture Management experience associated with identification, qualification, full capture and bid activities.
  • Full and Open and Recompete capture experience, preferred.
  • Must have strong project management skills and a keen understanding of NAICS codes, vehicles, win strategies, proposals etc.
  • Understanding of, and experience with, the Federal procurement process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly as it applies to proposals, client presentations and program management.
  • Prior experience with DoD and Federal Civilian organizations, preferred.
  • Must be able to participate as a primary author in response to government solicitations.
  • Must be able to read, de-compose and understand government solicitations, and meet compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposal pricing methodologies and strategies.
  • Proven experience in managing and contributing to winning proposal content.
  • Proven experience in capture management for complex proposals.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks.
  • Deep existing relationships within industry leaders and understanding of their capabilities.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays at times).
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to travel to customer events, conferences, or meetings.
