Overview

LOCATION: Hybrid - Fairfax, VA (2 days onsite/3 days remote)

ITC is seeking a Quality Director to support our corporate team. The Quality Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective enterprise Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 20001, government regulations, and internal company policies and procedures. The Quality Director will lead audit management (internal and external), data-driven decision-making, corrective actions and process improvements, gap analysis, risk and opportunity management, quality documentation, reporting, training, development, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will require the Quality Director to review, recommend, correct all current internal policies and procedures as they relate to ISO as well as update current policies and procedures to align with the current state of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) specifically tailored for government contracting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Provide subject matter expertise in ISO 9001, 27001, and 20001 while developing and implementing updates.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits of processes and programs to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • Prepare the organization for third-party audits conducted by government agencies or regulatory bodies (ISO and CMMC).
  • Work with key stakeholders on standardized policy development.
  • Utilize data analytics and metrics to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement within the organization.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and manage corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, or quality assessments related to government contracts.
  • Implement process improvements to address systemic issues and optimize performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to include compliance risks, quality risks, and project risks.
  • Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations, standards, and contractual requirements, including those related to quality assurance, cybersecurity, and information security.
  • Stay abreast of changes in government contracting regulations and standards to proactively adapt quality management practices. 

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in quality management within the government contracting industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Business Administration, or Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CMMi).
  • Thorough understanding of government contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proven track record of conducting audits, implementing quality management systems, and driving process improvements in government contracting environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
