We work autonomously, collaborate asynchronously, and take ownership of our work. Job DescriptionThe FORWARD Platform is seeking a Sr. Manager, Proposal to lead and manage our proposal and RFX process and oversee all aspects of our proposals. This role reports directly to the Director of Strategic Growth and will lead a strong team of Proposal Managers and Proposal Coordinators.With FORWARD, managing social and economic programs has never been more convenient. FORWARD - an Integraged Program Administration solution - enables state and local governments, non-profits, and grant administrators to distribute funds and assistance quickly, correctly, and cost-effectively.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the management of the RFX team and the submission of proposals.Lead and manage a team of proposal managers and coordinators as well as the overall proposal development processDevelop and maintain a proposal management plan that integrates the capture, win strategy, and lessons learnedLead the capturing of new opportunities that leverage FORWARD’s current offerings into new programs and use casesLead the development of new innovative approaches to proposal development, management and writingLead a collaborative team to develop proposals that clearly articulate the solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators.Provide training and coaching as necessary to team members on the proposal process, review process, and/or writing process and best practicesAnalyze and solution for complex RFPs, create compliant outlines, and write and edit proposalsIdentify, resolve, and escalate gaps and risks to the Director of Strategic Growth and Executive teamProvide support with writing, editing, and feedback process of proposals (technical and format)Provide and lead budget development solutions and insightIteratively review content and provide feedback to authorsMaintain a forward-leaning posture that is always willing to wear extra hats as needed to help the team submit compliant, concise, and compelling bidsProvide quarterly and monthly RFX data metricsAdditionally, successful applicants will:Continuously improve the proposal management process, content, tools, and templates and incorporate learning from previous submissionsOffer creative solutions by thinking outside the box to determine how our services can solve both explicit and implicit problems outlined in RFXPersue new opportunities by expanding the company’s offerings to new opportunitiesManage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneouslyQualificationsAbility to lead and supervise a 100%-remote teamHighly solution-orientedCreative problem solvingExceptional writer and storytellerAbility to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a teamExperience writing and developing proposals for the public sectorDetail-oriented and organizedExcellent editing, formatting, and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize workloadEager to be part of a team that puts a premium on assuming best intentions and giving one another graceSalary Range: $110,000-$125,000/yr.Additional InformationWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
