Job Overview::
Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Net Zero Contracts Support, Supplier Engagement to join our Net Zero team. This position is remote with occasional travel. Candidates must reside in the San Fransico Bay area or in New York, New York.
Responsibilities & Duties::
  • Managing the deployment of novel materials with our construction contractors
  • Refining current RFP language to heavily emphasize meeting carbon reduction goals
  • Tracking and reporting on implementation to ensure successful adoption of specs and materials
  • Track Tier 1 and 2 supplier performance according to internal tracking systems
  • Responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the DCDE Sustainability team
  • Supply chain engagement, RFP analysis, report writing, and outreach
  • Identify opportunities for deployment of low-carbon materials and collaborate with partners to deploy and track their use
  • Collaborate with construction contractors to gain a thorough understanding of implemented sustainability strategies and their commitments
  • Analyze existing RFP language and provide recommendations to clients and stakeholders for more sustainable practices in line with industry best practices
  • Oversee the implementation of RFP changes and report out to key stakeholders on progress.
Qualifications & Skills::
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 years of experience in environmental compliance and sustainability, with specific experience in data center construction or similar large-scale construction projects
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, standards, and best practices related to construction, including air quality, water quality, soil, waste management, and other environmental aspects
  • Experience in contract management, including negotiation, review, and administration of contracts related to environmental services
  • Strong analytical skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate complex environmental concepts to diverse audiences

The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
