Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for a part-time Testing Specialist in the Testing Center. This position will primarily coordinate the online proctor service for CSU course exams and will also proctor in-person exams as needed. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Testing Center.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include:
  • Collect and process Proctor Services Request forms from faculty.
  • Add exams in hybrid proctoring platforms.
  • Maintain calendar of online course exams.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets of proctoring records for each course.
  • Receive, process, and track payments from students.
  • Post exam announcements and reminders in LMS for all courses.
  • Communicate exam information to students and approved proctors.
  • Monitor testing appointments.
  • Serve as point of contact for instructors and students.
  • Serve as point of contact for all proctors (including third party and external proctors).
  • Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, browser, network connection, and LMS problems as they relate to hybrid proctoring platforms.
  • Provide on-call support during testing hours, which may include some evening hours.
  • Proctor exams remotely using hybrid proctoring platform.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of testing policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Launch exams and monitor test taker behavior via walk-throughs, audio/video surveillance, and screen management software.
Required Qualifications
Associates degree withwork experience in testing (in-person or remote), online testing platforms (ProctorU, Respondus), higher education student services or academic affairs is highly desirable. Must maintain test and personal information in strict confidence. Students are not eligible for this position.
Baccalaureate degree is preferred.
Proposed Salary
The salary is $16-$20 per hour.
