Our Utility Metals division needs an inside salesperson with a passion for customer service and curiosity to ask our largest customers what else we can do for them. This role is a blend of preparing quotes, responding to inquiries from customers, entering orders and working with our Manufacturing organization to make sure items ship on time. The ideal candidate would have the ability to grow to take on more sales management responsibilities including reporting and analysis.

What we’re looking for:

  • Passion for customer service. You enjoy working with customers to get them what they need.
  • 5-7 years inside sales experience, preferably for a manufacturer, but the industry is not as important as demonstrating progression in responsibilities.
  • Curiosity and ambition. You’ve been successful in inside sales and have the desire to grow into a manager.
  • Interest in rather obscure products. Brackets and poles used to hang lights in parking lots, aren’t exactly iPhones, cars or hoverboards, but they do serve an important purpose and play a critical role in the construction industry.
  • Ability to read, interpret and create basic product drawings. Our customers often send us what they need with a pencil sketch, or ask us to confirm their verbal description with a simple drawing.
  • You can prepare quotes for customers from parts lists, price sheets etc.
  • Quick learner of computer systems. Our CRM and ERP aren’t anything new or complicated, but willingness to learn how to click through screens and not getting frustrated is needed.
  • Preference for working from work. Our culture is rooted in physical presence; the team works together at our workplace and we expect you to want to do so too.
  • Familiarity with all things Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
