Position Overview: 

The Web Developer will support a Federal client at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Family and Youth Services Bureau). This person should have significant Drupal development experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and expand the FYSB website's presence.

• Use the appropriate Drupal platform for the FYSB website ensuring adherence to plain language and the ACF style guidelines.

• Submit materials for distribution that meet compliance standards to be accessible to all and made available on the FYSB website, as appropriate. All materials shall be compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 

• Track Web metrics using Google Analytics and provide analysis using the data. 

• Work with the FYSB Strategic Plan implementation team to ensure FYSB web content, appearance, accessibility, and usability is aligned with FYSB’s vision. 

• Create original content relevant to the RHY priorities for the FYSB website to include, but not be limited to, carousel slides, funding allocation tables, new award announcements, notifications of funding opportunity, news stories, grantee success stories, program fact sheets, links to new resources, updates to the individual program pages and FYSB map, and other content as directed by FYSB. 

• Create reports on website traffic, number of hits, content/documents viewed, etc.

• Provide recommendations on how to increase and improve traffic to the website. 

• Work with the Office of Communications to develop a search engine optimization strategy.

• Review FYSB website pages not less than once per month to check for broken links, outdated information, general quality assurance, and refresh pages.

• Maintain FYSB archives, historical documents , publications, deliverables, speeches, and talking points.

• Create materials or documents upon request. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or similar discipline 

• 8 years of experience in web development

• Proficiency with Drupal CMS Platform

• U.S. Citizenship required
