SUMMARY:
With the new requirement for public school district social workers to be enrolled in a new certification program by August 2023, now is the time to invest in the development of a program that will immediately have a positive effect on both educators and students!
Through CCRES' partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), we seek two School Social Worker Educational Specialist Online Instructional Content Developers to work on assignment within the Innovative Educational Services Division of the CCIU to develop one of the first programs of its kind in the Commonwealth.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Commit to a 12-month course development process to develop multiple courses as part of the certification program, with the ability to work remotely and asynchronously and the ability to attend established virtual synchronous team course development meetings with CCIU colleagues.
Provide leadership and expertise for developing the curricular and instructional content of five blended courses (each with 42 hours of primarily online asynchronous content delivery with 82 hours of out-of-class field experience activities) that will prepare highly effective Pennsylvania Educational Specialist Certificates for Social Workers in a Standards Aligned Instruction System. Each course will include 5 hours of active project-based field experience and will create a clear standard for providing social work services in Pennsylvania's schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- 3-5 years of experience in a school-based setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Developing online course content
- Delivering adult professional learning
- Developing and implementing new programs
- Success in school administrator positions
- Training in Human Services/Social Sciences or Communications
- Conducting outreach to community agencies and organizations to assist families and children with resources and education
- PA Instructional Certificate - preferred
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:

- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance

- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
