General Summary

As a Financial Analyst at CHE Behavioral, you will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making through data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations that contribute to the overall financial health and strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and forecast company performance.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Budget Management:
    • Work closely with department heads to create, monitor, and manage departmental budgets.
    • Provide variance analysis and insights to identify areas of concern or improvement.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Reporting:
    • Generate and distribute accurate and timely financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial data.
  • Financial Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Assist in the preparation for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Financial Forecasting:
    • Work on long-term financial planning and forecasting to support strategic initiatives.
    • Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to guide financial decisions.

    Outside the organization:

    -Presents financial information or other analyses to leadership.

    -Oversees cash management processes and reporting.

     -Produces annual budgets, report budget vs. actual monthly and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.

    -Provides financial analysis and supports expense management initiatives, as required.

    -Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

    -Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting (or related field), or five years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

    Knowledge & Skills

    Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    Mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

    Excellent organizational and time management skills

    Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to function independently

    Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports

    Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.

    Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.

    Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience with Sage Intacct ERP systems is preferred.

    Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and analytical problem-solving

    Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues

    Ability to analyze and streamline workflows to enhance efficiency

    Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
