Divisional Field Recruiter - Southwest Division

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, study, prayer, and worship.
  • Ensure that all Young Life work is designed and carried out with an awareness of and in alignment with Young Life’s Values and Methods.
  • Develop strong spiritual disciplines and accountability considering possible distance supervision and travel schedule.

Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee and manage talent acquisition and selection process for Division.
  • Engage field leaders to understand hiring requirements, set realistic expectations, and educate teams on the recruiting process.
  • Educate hiring managers and conduct pre-screens, interviews, and reference checks for potential candidates, when needed.
  • Create and execute multi-channel strategies to source candidates and/or build talent pools for current and future engagements.
  • Present potential candidates and make hiring recommendations to Regional Directors.
  • Assist hiring managers with employment offers.
  • Leverage social media, internet sourcing, referral sources, and other technical means to generate qualified leads and create strong and diverse candidate pipelines for both immediate and future vacancies.
  • Develop and execute candidate sourcing plans, maintaining strong relationships with supply sources.
  • Proactively develop a qualified, available candidate pool for vacant roles.
  • Drive a “Mission First” mindset to ensure leaders and teams are working in an increasingly integrated way.
  • Embrace and lead a culture that is inclusive and diverse with the field leadership team.
  • Develop a partnership with Young Life Human Resources on labor laws, regulations, pay practices and equityand procedures as it relates to hiring practices.
  • Recruit, place, and execute the California Intern Experience.

Job-Specific Working Conditions

  • Role permits remote work.
  • Preferred Locations: Major US cities in California.
  • The anticipated salary for this position can range from $71,397-$97,570 depending on relevant education and experience.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, required.

Experience Required for the Job

  • Preferred 3 years’ experience as a recruitment specialist.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to source and develop a reliable supply of qualified candidates.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively screen and select qualified candidates, including a solid understanding of testing and selection methods and best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, manage own time and take ownership of work.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and works with a sense of urgency.
  • Proven experience with confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with a strong sense of integrity and ethics with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix team environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to execute initiatives in a timely manner with high quality.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and consultative method.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with position requirements, local labor law, and Young Life’s mission statement and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and strengthen positive relationships within operational teams, the Service Center HR team, and legal partners, peers, and leaders across the mission.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong leadership, integration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
