Through its work in K-12 Education, Hillsdale College seeks to restore excellence to American K-12 education, public and private. This is a new position, created to accommodate the increased depth and scope of the K-12 Education Office’s work with affiliated schools. Hillsdale College’s K-12 Education Office advises classical private and public charter schools across the country, focusing on five areas: board governance, school leadership, curriculum, school culture, and classical pedagogy.
Through regular conferences and publications, it provides guidance to the leaders of its affiliated schools, focusing on the academic and operational aspects of running a K-12 school.
The person filling this position will report to the Director of School Leader Support to join in that work, maintaining close connections with the leaders of Hillsdale-affiliated schools and bringing the teachings of Hillsdale College to a growing network of classical educators.

The K-12 Education Office frequently interacts with College staff, visitors, and donors. A neat appearance and a pleasant demeanor are essential. Staff members must represent the College well and act in support of its mission.
Code of Commitment
Serve as an excellent representative of Hillsdale College to promote the liberal arts, the College’s original Articles of Association, and operating principles stated in the Staff Code of Commitment. The Mission Statement should be considered in all aspects of the position. The teaching of Christian faith shall remain a conspicuous aim of the College.
