Overview:
In this role, you will act as an internal consultant and lead Billing and Pharmacy Operations performance and margin improvement efforts. This position requires analytical skills to identify margin deficiencies, develop solutions, present recommendations to senior leadership, and ensure that approved proposals are implemented, and yield promoted value. This role’s scope encompasses driving a variety of benefits for Amerita, Inc including improvements to service, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides support for Amerita and Mosaic line of business. You will engage in business improvement and sustainability, cost reduction projects and process flow optimization.
  • Collaborates with internal and external teams in the process of maximizing profitability.
  • Responsible for the daily oversight of the negative margin process to ensure the business maintains a healthy probability.
  • Conducts analysis and consult business leadership and partners on findings and insights. Present and communicate findings to recommend changes to senior management.
  • Identifies problem areas with effective follow through to quickly address the root causes and coordinate activities with cross functional team members from RCM, Operations, IT, Finance and Procurement/Corporate Inventory.
  • Identifies patterns of short‐payment, overpayment or non‐payment and brings them to the attention of the appropriate specialist.
  • Implements and coordinates additional training for Billing Managers, Team Leads, and Billing Specialist.
  • Assists with competency testing for all training materials.
  • Monitors the adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned. Example: Monthly Billing Audits
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; associate degree in business, Accounting, Finance or a related field a plus
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in medical billing, with at least two (2) years in an analyst or supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and PBM reimbursement
  • Home Infusion experience a plus
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently obtain and interpret information
  • Knowledge of CPR software a plus
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
