Warbird Healthcare Advisors seeks an experienced team of DME Billing Specialists to perform various billing and follow-up functions for a client. This remote team will follow established billing procedures for timely and thorough collection of open invoices from a variety of payers.
Responsibilities

• Performs initial review and follow-up on outstanding Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), prescriptions and processes renewal CMNs/prescriptions through the use of Brightree billing software.
• Maintains Stop/Hold accounts to ensure invoicing is released for billing
• Documents all account activity on Brightree system. Performs quality audits to ensure that all necessary documentation is included in each patient file.
• Performs adjustments on accounts reviewing each with management.
• Sets up and maintains business rules and price table adjustments for all commercial payors as needed.
• Performs weekly review of AR reports to ensure accounts are maintained for reimbursement.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification Experience

• One year medical billing/coding experience
• Collections of insurance claims experience
• Medicare and/or Medicaid background
• Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Professional communication skills
