Fellowship Houseis a behavioral health organization serving adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.

We are seeking a full-time Apartment Program Specialist (APS) to work in our Supported Housing Apartment Program and part-time employees to work evenings and weekends at our licensed residential treatment facility located either in Naranja (near Homestead) or near the airport off of NW 37 Ave. This is an ideal position for psychology students or anyone interested in gaining entry-level experience in the mental health field.

Job responsibilities include:

Working closely with members in their housing settings in order to maximize their chances for successful, independent community living.

Providing regular inspections to ensure that members are utilizing appropriate cleanliness and safety techniques in their apartments.

Monitoring medications of members experiencing exacerbated symptoms or showing difficulty managing treatment regimen.

Encouraging the restoration of social skills by engaging members in conversations regarding their progress and treatment.

Providing assistance with budgeting, money management, food planning and other organizational activities that arise in the residential arena.

Maintaining effective communication with all direct service staff in relation to apartment member concerns, needs and goals.

Assisting with the development of community resources for residential members to promote their independence and self-reliance.
