Position Overview:
The US Health and Welfare Benefits Manager is a key strategic role responsible for the development, implementation, and leadership of our comprehensive health and welfare benefits programs. This role requires a passionate leader who is adept in creating innovative benefits solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our workforce, ensuring both competitive edge in talent acquisition and retention, and alignment with our organizational goals.

*Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Strategy Development: Craft and refine the benefits strategy to align with company goals and employee needs, including pioneering new initiatives in wellness, mental health, and preventive care.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Management: Manage a broad spectrum of employee benefits including but not limited to health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, employee assistance programs, wellness programs, and retirement plans.
  • Holistic Wellness Programs: Design and implement comprehensive wellness programs that address physical, emotional, and financial well-being to boost employee engagement and productivity.
  • Healthcare Partnerships: Develop partnerships with healthcare providers to offer on-site health screenings, vaccinations, and wellness events, ensuring high-quality health services are accessible.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement with benefits programs, including interactive decision-support tools, wellness challenges, and health education workshops.
  • Vendor and Broker Relations: Strategically select and manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers to ensure the best service and value for the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Ensure all health and welfare programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Continuously monitor legislation changes that may affect program offerings.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefit programs, identifying trends and making adjustments to enhance health outcomes and cost efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the benefits budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maximizing the value and impact of benefit offerings.
  • Tailored Communication Strategies: Develop tailored communication strategies to maximize understanding and utilization of benefits, adapting messaging for diverse workforce demographics.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in benefits administration with a strong focus on health and welfare programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of benefits legislation and compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Proven track record of implementing innovative benefits programs that enhance employee satisfaction and health outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data in decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Certification such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) is highly advantageous.
