Job Description: Peak Primary Care partnered with Colorado Physician Partners Front Desk Receptionist- FT -Thornton, CO Hours: 9AM -6:30PM The Community: We are a thriving family physician office that cares for all ages. We have served the Thornton community for over 40 years and have treated multi generations of families. We are partnered with Colorado Physician Partners and Alpine Physician Partners. The Position: Greets and directs visitors in a positive and helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions. Informs appropriate department of the patient’s arrival Collects copays, schedules appointments, prepares paperwork, makes appointment reminder phone calls Enter and balance daily patient charge sheet, ensures all patient files are accurately updated Answers telephone in professional manner, screens calls and takes concise messages. Listens to and evaluates needs of callers and handles appropriately, with a focus on customer service and assistance Supplements office staff by assisting with computer input/typing, appointments scheduling, preparation of forms, correspondence, compilation of data, and other various projects Assists in maintenance of office equipment and supplies while maintaining a clean orderly reception area. Performs other duties or assists with projects as assigned Create a positive long lasting impression on patients Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities): High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year receptionist experience, preferably in a health care environment Ability to use MS Word, Outlook, Excel, EMR systems, preferable Allscripts Interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal effectively, tactfully and courteously with callers, physicians and personnel in an expeditious manner Ability to prioritize, multi-task and pay close attention to detail Ability to be a team player Ability to work independently in a high stress area with good organizational skills COVID Safety: Patients are required to wear a mask while in the office. We require our employees to wear a mask while in the office in the public areas.
