We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Event and Marketing Sales Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive revenue growth by securing new business and expanding our sponsorship base for Leadership Connect events and marketing services. A successful candidate will be a proactive sales professional with a passion for building relationships and creating innovative events and marketing solutions. Core Functions of the Role:

  • Drive the acquisition of new sponsors for Leadership Connect events and marketing services, focusing on increasing both the number and value of sponsorships.
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue growth targets by securing direct events and marketing sponsorship commitments from sponsors.
  • Work closely with the Leadership Connect Events and Marketing team to develop and expand a portfolio of innovative and cross-platform event and marketing offerings.
  • Identify and articulate revenue opportunities within the Leadership Connect brand and clientele, collaborating with the team to create new sponsorable events and marketing opportunities.
  • Engage with sponsors throughout the sales process and the lifecycle of event/marketing services to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online platforms.
  • Set appointments and follow up on leads with potential customers to nurture relationships and secure deals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Utilize market insights to tailor sales pitches and strategies effectively.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management, including insights on market trends, client feedback, and revenue projections.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in event sponsorship or marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Understanding of event management and marketing principles is a plus

$60,000 - $70,000 a year
This role will also have a commission component.
