Responsibilities:
Use your prospecting and follow-up skills with potential customers online, in-person, or on the phone to uncover potential upsells and new clients
Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline from qualification to close stages
Create a competitive analysis, identify industry and product trends, and position our brand as the clear and obvious choice
Close the deal after creating, presenting, and negotiating a solution to your prospects
Meet or surpass the monthly quota for sold business and lead requirements/ revenue-generating activities
The Construction Sales Manager is also responsible for building and growing long-term relationships and increasing revenue to meet and exceed the monthly targeted profitable growth objectives in support of the Companys overall goals
The Construction Sales Manager meets regularly with prospective and existing clients in his or her assigned market area to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision-makers, and sell all services, as appropriate
Effectively maintains and retains existing customers by building effective long-term relationships and customer loyalty
Identifies viable leads, manages prospects, and secures all lines of temporary business offered within the market to exceed monthly established targeted profitable individual and team growth goals
Prepares and delivers sales presentations to grow existing client base; follows up with key decision-makers
Schedules and documents all activities such as calls, meetings, and proposals
Generates and provides sales leads for permanent sales opportunities to the appropriate sales representative in the market to capture additional revenue
Regularly meets with Sales Manager to review weekly customer retention and relationship activities, progress versus goals, and status of key customer relationships
Partners with the operations team, when needed, to address customer service issues
Builds relationships and increases Company visibility through participation in Company-sponsored activities, trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and other similar activities
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Qualifications:
Team-focused, organized, self-starter with an orientation towards service, detail, problem-solving, and deadlines
High school or equivalent diploma required; industry or product knowledge preferred
A consistent top performer in sales
You love talking and meeting with prospects, presenting to them, closing the deal, and asking for referrals
At least 2 years of outside sales experience preferred
Education: bachelors degree (accredited) in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
Experience: Two (2) years of relationship management experience in environmental, waste, or related service industry
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Solid understanding of costing, pricing, and volume-based strategies for the waste industry
Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with substantial experience with web-based interactive systems
Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner
Ability to multitask
