What you'll be doing:
As our Tax Director, you'll dive into the exciting world of accounting, finance, and wealth management, and lead the charge on all tax-related matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Take charge of overseeing the tax department, directing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
- Formulate and execute tax strategies aimed at reducing tax liabilities and enhancing financial outcomes for clients.
- Offer specialized expertise and counsel on intricate tax matters such as mergers and acquisitions, international taxation, state and local tax issues, and tax disputes.
- Remain abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry dynamics, providing informed guidance to clients while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Foster enduring client partnerships by acting as a reliable advisor and delivering unparalleled client support.
- Lead and nurture tax personnel, furnishing them with training, mentorship, and encouragement to foster their professional advancement.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with other firm departments and teams to furnish comprehensive solutions aligned with overarching business goals.
- Engage actively in business expansion endeavors, including networking, client consultations, and proposal crafting, to attract new clientele and broaden service offerings.
- A track record of 7 years of advancing experience in tax accounting, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Hands-on involvement in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for diverse clientele encompassing individuals, businesses, and organizations.
- Strong aptitude for analysis, problem-solving, and decisive decision-making.
- Established leadership competencies, with a talent for inspiring and effectively managing teams.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and client relationship-building proficiencies.
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while adeptly managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient utilization of tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is desirable.
