Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and assist in organizing and implementing recreational activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating engaging programs to enhance their quality of life.

Duties:

- Plan and facilitate a variety of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents
- Collaborate with the activities director to develop engaging programs tailored to residents' interests
- Assist residents during activities and provide support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback
- Ensure the activity areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members

Qualifications:

- Experience or interest in working with seniors in a nursing home or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of aging issues, memory care, and senior care practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Background in recreational therapy, social work, event planning, or related field is a plus

Work Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
