Travelers, Poets & Friends is Hiring a Bartender Near New York, NY
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients, including standard and unique drinks
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client
- Keep bar area clean, organized, and compliant with a kept inventory of supplies
- Perform POS transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the food menu in order to assist guests with any inquiries or suggestions.
- Follow proper time and attendance protocol as well as dress code procedure
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 years bartending experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately operate a cash register and POS system
- Ability to maintain composure and a sense of urgency in a bustling, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work 3 shifts/week
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods with or without reasonable accomodation
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accomodation
