In this role, you'll work on-site in a classroom setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavioral intervention plans for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Behavioral Plan Implementation: Carry out behavior intervention plans developed by a BCBA. This includes applying ABA techniques to teach communication, social skills, and daily living skills, and reduce problematic behaviors.
  2. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect detailed data on client behaviors, skill acquisition, and response to interventions. Share this data with supervising BCBAs for analysis.
  3. Client Interaction: Engage directly with students in classroom settings to implement behavioral strategies and interventions.
  4. Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and provide feedback to BCBAs and other team members.
  5. Family Support and Training: Provide training and support to family members or caregivers on implementing behavioral strategies at home.
  6. Compliance with Protocols: Adhere to ethical and professional guidelines as set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and the supervising BCBA.
  7. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain RBT certification and stay current with ABA practices.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an RBT training program that meets BACB requirements.

Certification: Must pass the RBT certification exam and maintain certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Experience: Experience working with individuals with developmental disorders is preferred, though on-the-job training is often provided.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience, empathy, ability to work with diverse populations, and a foundational understanding of ABA principles.
