Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to patients/residents under the supervision of licensed nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Implement restorative care plans designed to enhance patients; physical functioning and independence.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, range-of-motion activities, gait training, and other rehabilitative interventions.
• Monitor and document patients; progress and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for patients/residents, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients/residents.

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification in the state of California.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a long-term care facility or with memory care is highly desired.
• Ability to lift and move patients and perform physical tasks required by the job.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Empathetic and compassionate nature with a commitment to resident-centered care.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Working Conditions:
• Work is primarily within the patient care areas of the facility.
• Frequent physical activities such as lifting, bending, and prolonged standing are expected.
• Interaction with residents may require exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids,
• medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.
