JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: HOUSEKEEPER
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping/Laundry
REPORT TO: Maintenance Supervisor
WAGE: Hourly
WORK HOURS: Variable
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and handicapped people
- Ensure that the environment is welcoming and comfortable for residents.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Clean all common areas and rooms by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing. Empty and sanitize trash containers in common areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean building areas, including bathrooms, by scrubbing, mopping, buffing, polishing, dusting, and disinfecting.
- Restock supplies, including paper product and soap.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIROMENT:
- 95% Indoors, 5% Outdoors
- Self-Paced, requiring the ability to work quickly and oftentimes in a demanding and fast-paced work area.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting: Negligible.
- Standing: 2-3 hours in an 8-hour work shift. Alternates frequently to walking.
- Walking: 5-6 hours in an 8-hour work shift. Alternates frequency to standing.
