Position Overview:
As the Team Lead for Software Systems and Support, you will play a crucial role in leading a team responsible for the maintenance, support, and enhancement of our software systems. You will oversee a group of skilled professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of our systems and providing exceptional support to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of software systems support specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team success.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of our software systems, including troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address software-related tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation, and knowledge base articles to support efficient system management and troubleshooting.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, working closely with team members and stakeholders to resolve them promptly and effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance the reliability, scalability, and usability of our software systems.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making and drive innovation within the team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a software support or systems administration role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong technical proficiency in software systems management, troubleshooting, and support, with a focus on reliability and performance optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
  • Analysis of team performance metrics
  • Developing team policy, procedures, and work instructions for team members
  • Managing workload queue
  • Daily communication with Project Leads, management, and customers on deliverables and priorities.
  • Recommending changes to department and Synergy policy, procedures, and work instructions to support team goals
  • Develop work estimates for proposals - committed to a timely response (goal: 3-business day turnaround)
  • Review proposals with clients as needed and assist defining scope
  • Reviewing plans, dates, and expectations with clients
  • Provide support to team members as needed
