WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Muckleshoot Casino.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Resort Operations departments, including, but not limited to: Front Office/Bell, Sales, Spa, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary, Valet/Transportation, and Kids Quest.
  • Work with direct reports to develop and implement departmental strategies and ensure implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives, ensuring Resort Operations meet established standards and target guests’ needs.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the resort’s market position and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the resort’s senior management team.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • Grow revenues and maximize the financial performance of the division by developing and implementing property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the target guests and team members while providing a return on investment.
  • Develop, implement, execute, and achieve long and short-term divisional business strategies.
  • Formulate and operate within annual marketing plan, operating budget, and capital budget to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of financial reports to monitor the profitability and expenses of the division and take appropriate action by creating and implementing strategies and tactics to reduce cost and/or increase revenue.
  • Develop and implement staffing plans that provide divisional leadership appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectations.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and direct resort management staff to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Evaluate Resort performance by compiling statistics such as occupancy and labor reports and guest satisfaction questionnaires to implement necessary changes to ensure the most successful operation of Resort services and adherence to Muckleshoot Casino’s objectives.
  • Oversee the development of new programs that result in increased levels of guest satisfaction and exceed service expectations.
  • Review accounts payable and ensure prompt payment of group balances.
  • Perform consistent room/property inspections to ensure expected quality and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor rates and effectively manage room inventories.
  • Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive professional demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree required. Experience at a senior level and formal education or professional certification may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • 10 (Ten) years of progressive resort/hotel management experience in high-volume properties required.
  • Casino Resort experience highly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to gaming and hospitality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in using management software and tools.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Availability – Ability to work 40 hours per week, primarily Monday – Friday, dayshift. Some holidays, weekends, and nights may be required to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push, or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
  • Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
