AK Law Firm is Hiring a Negotiator Near Houston, TX
Duties
- Collaborate with Closing team on Negotiator assigned cases.
- Sort and read through medical records, insurance correspondence and settlement releases on behalf of clients.
- Summarize case facts utilizing Filevine and Demands Online as resources to create persuasive arguments.
- If discrepancies are identified while summarizing the case facts, task the Dept Supervisor (if position is vacant, please task COO)
- Negotiate clients’ entire case with insurance adjusters to obtain the highest settlement possible.
- Save recorded calling of client approval of final settlement to the file.
- Create Proposed Settlement Worksheet on assigned negotiation case with recommended reductions.
- Instruct the Liens/Closer to follow MPU checklist.
- Maintain communication with clients to guide them through the settlement process to ultimately settle their case with them.
- Provide updates on case status using Filevine software.
- Assist COO and CEO as needed in tasks, case work, etc. related to processes within the department or neighboring departments.
- Requirements:
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
- At minimum 2-5 years of recent personal injury experience
- Professionals in a plaintiffs personal injury firm
- Filevine experience a big plus
- Organized, pleasant, and personality in-line with our varsity team here
